The GORE-TEX membrane contains nine billion pores per square inch and is 100% waterproof, because each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a rain drop. The membrane allows perspiration to escape because the pores are 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule.

At the very leading edge of technology - Pixel 2.5 is the chosen solution for producing athletic 100% waterproof, 100% windproof yet extremely breathable foul weather gear, without compromising on durability. The face fabric is identical to that used in our proven GORE-TEX offshore products, which is then laminated to an extra tough GORE-TEX membrane.
The extreme breathabilty, increased flexibility and reduced weight is due to the elimination of the need for a separate lining. This can be achieved by the use of a highly specialised "pixel" abrasive resistant raised profile pattern, which protects the membrane. Without an additional lining and the highly breathable nature of the Pixel profile - a major improvement on previous generation carbon based polymer dot structures - the fabric and therefore the garment falls into the highest known category of international breathability standards.

S3 Soft Shell Technology is a soft, high stretch woven fabric which cuts out 95% of wind combined with a Super DWR coating embedded into the fabric which makes it highly water resistant.
Double faced Soft Shell fabrics are constructed with nylon on the face to enhance abrasion resistance and with polyester on the back to help wick moisture away from the skin keeping the wearer dryer on the inside.

Schoeller dryskin - a completely new ‘transport system’ for body moisture - was especially designed for perspiration-prone sports. Capillary fibres on the inside of the stretch fabric soak up perspiration like a sponge and carry it away in thousands of pores and channels. The moisture is contained in these tubular fibres and therefore the drying process is accelerated.
